LOTTE WORLD TOWER
Travel in korea Introduction!! I’m Korean and I’m going to tell you about my travels in Korea.
Korea is a country rich in tourist resources, offering a blend of traditional and modern culture, providing diverse experiences. Each region has a unique identity, allowing tourists to enjoy various cultures, natural environments, and cuisines.
Various Forms of Hanok Villages
In Korea, there are villages with traditional Hanok houses and modern Hanok experiences. Bukchon Hanok Village and Namsangol Hanok Village in the heart of Seoul showcase the harmony of tradition and modernity. Jeonju Hanok Village is the largest in Korea, offering a unique space where tradition and modernity coexist.
Charms of Palaces in Day and Night
Korea’s royal palaces exhibit different atmospheres during the day and night. During the day, they present a serene ambiance, while at night, subtle lighting and mysterious sounds add another layer of charm. The four major palaces in Seoul and Suwon Hwaseong offer special tour programs, providing a unique experience for tourists.
Historical Landmarks and Enjoyable Shopping
Sungnyemun Gate, designated as National Treasure No. 1, and Namdaemun Market bustling with various products and food items. Namdaemun Market is a delightful place for affordable shopping of clothing, kitchenware, electronics, and its food alleys are charming.
Eastern Gate and Massive Commercial District
Heunginjimun Gate, also known as Dongdaemun, and Dongdaemun Market with its large commercial district. Dongdaemun Market is renowned for wholesale clothing, known as ‘Dongdaemun Fashion.’ Additionally, Dongdaemun Design Plaza provides a modern atmosphere alongside the wholesale market.
Beauty of the Square in the Heart of Seoul
Gwanghwamun Square, located in the center of Seoul, is a park extending to Sejong-ro Intersection. It is open to the public, featuring statues of King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-sin, providing a beautiful space to enjoy nature.
Rebirth of Historical Spaces
Culture Station Seoul 284, the transformation of the old Seoul Station into a complex cultural and arts space, and Seoullo 7017, the renovation of the Seoul Station overpass into a pedestrian walkway. Both places preserve the historical charm of Seoul.
Lotte World Tower is known not only as the tallest building in the history of the Korean Peninsula, but also as the fifth tallest building in the world. The late chairman Shin Kyeok-ho was so committed to its construction that he emphasized that it was his last dream. In fact, Chairman Shin encouraged foreign tourists to keep visiting, saying, “I can’t show only a part of it. Only a world-famous building can attract attention,” he said, emphasizing the need for Lotte World Tower.
Lotte World Tower has a total of 123 floors and is 555 meters high, so the view from the top is truly dizzying. I have only visited the observation deck once so far, but I would like to take this opportunity to check the opening hours and prices of the observation deck and visit Lotte World Tower again on a nice day to enjoy the night view of Seoul.
