Welcome to Korea! Today, I’m going to introduce you to “Starfield Suwon”, a new stadium in Suwon, a suburb of Seoul. Most foreign tourists traveling to Suwon go to Hwaseong or Haenggung-dong in Suwon, but you should also check out Starfield Suwon, which was newly opened in January 24th!

Introducing Starfield Suwon

Starfield Suwon is a large shopping mall located in Jangan-gu, Suwon, South Korea. It ranges from eight underground floors to eight above-ground floors and has a gross floor area of approximately 100,000 square meters. It opened in January 2024 and is home to more than 400 brands and a variety of specialized spaces.

One of the main features of Starfield Suwon is the Starfield Byeolmadang Library, which stretches from the 4th to the 7th floor and houses tens of thousands of books. It also hosts various concerts and lectures, and is decorated with a large tree during the Christmas season, making it a popular Christmas attraction.

Starfield Suwon is also home to the Brawl Stars pop-up store and Noted Donuts, the latter of which was a pop-up store for the popular mobile shooter game Brawl Stars that ran until February 15th.

Starfield Suwon is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. To visit, we recommend using public transportation. It’s about an 8-minute walk from Exits 1 and 4 of Hwaseo Station.

Byeolmadang Library Starfield Suwon

The Starfield Suwon Library is a cultural and emotional space where people can relax, meet, and communicate around books. The library is open to the public for free and is open from 10am to 10pm.

The Starfield Library spans from the 4th to the 7th floor, and is a relational space where space, people, and content interact across multiple floors, with various gazes and paths of travel. It’s not only a place to read books, but also a meeting place to wait for someone.

There are various photo zones inside the library, where visitors can take pictures for authentication or healing. In particular, many visitors are impressed by the view from the 6th floor, the colorful globe, and the light that pours in.

The menu here features roast beef rice bowls and whole pork belly rice bowls, with chicken gyoza dumplings and fried oysters as sides. This restaurant has a lot of fusion Korean dishes. It is a favorite among Korean women.
