There are many places to eat in Seoul, from traditional Korean food to modern fusion cuisine to food from different countries. For lunch on your first day, we recommend a simple Hanjeongsik, Tteokgalbi, Bugeotjjigae, and Samgyetang, and for dinner, try traditional Korean dishes like pork belly, pork ribs, and chicken. I also highly recommend renting a hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Seokchon Lake is a beautiful combination of lake and cherry blossoms. It’s a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you can keep visiting and enjoying it. And there are many restaurants in Seokchon-dong, so if you want to eat, there are restaurants. Then, you can go to Lotte World theme park to enjoy the cherry blossom tunnel and beautiful spring. For dinner, go to Jamsim, and if you can afford it, I recommend a high-end Korean restaurant, and if you are traveling on a budget, I recommend pork belly or Korean pizza, pajeon, makgeolli, chicken and beer, and steamed pork kimchi.
In the morning, head to Yeouido Hangang Park for a bike ride through the beautiful cherry blossoms and the Han River, it’s very beautiful. For lunch, have a quick bite to eat at one of the cafes and convenience stores in the park. We recommend ramen, triangular gimbap, and bento boxes at convenience stores. In the afternoon, you can take a walk and go to The Hyundai Department Store for shopping and pop-up stores, and in the evening, have dinner and buy some late-night snacks before returning to your hotel.
This course will immerse you in the traditions of Korea. In the morning, head to Samcheong-dong in Jongno to visit a cozy traditional cafe, then explore Bukchon’s hanok village for a taste of the younger generation, followed by a traditional lunch. We recommend sotbap, bibimbap, kalguksu, sujebi, samgyetang, tteokgalbi set meal, and grilled mackerel set meal. For dinner, head to Insadong and try bossam or pork feet with Korean sake.
Feel the modernity of Korea. In the morning, head to COEX Mall for some shopping, a fair, and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art to see a variety of artworks, then head to Garosu-gil or Cheongdam-dong for dinner at a stylish Korean restaurant. Korea is known for its delicious food, so it’s a good idea to try some of the local cuisine. In the evening, visit Hongdae, Kondae, Gangnam, etc. and enjoy Korean-style bars.
Visit the DDP in the morning to see an exhibition or performance, and shop at the DDP Market. There are also cafes and restaurants inside the DDP, so you can have lunch there.
After lunch, leave the DDP and take a walk or bike ride along Cheonggyecheon Stream. As you walk along Cheonggyecheon, you’ll see Gwangjang Market, where you can try traditional Korean food and snacks. Popular dishes at Gwangjang Market include bindaetteok, dakgimbap, and uirak fried chili peppers.
In the evening, continue walking along Cheonggyecheon Stream to Insadong, where you can enjoy a hanok village, traditional tea, traditional crafts, and more. Have dinner in Insadong, or head back to Cheonggyecheon for a night view. Cheonggyecheon is home to the LED Rose Park, which is even more beautiful at night.
